Al-Hamim Preschool: A Journey of Discovery & Faith

Nurturing the Fitrah, Building the Foundation for Both Worlds

At Al-Hamim Institute, our Preschool is more than just an early learning center; it is a meticulously designed sanctuary where a child’s natural curiosity meets divine guidance. We address the dual needs of Muslim children by bridging secular academic excellence with spiritual wisdom, ensuring a balanced foundation from the very beginning.

Our Three-Year Foundational Pathway

The preschool journey at Al-Hamim is a structured, three-year progression where children transition from play-based exploration to academic readiness.

  • Play Group (Age 3.5 – 4.5): The foundation stage focused on introducing basic concepts through play, sensory exploration, and gamified lessons.
  • Nursery (Age 4.5 – 5.5): A year of building on fundamentals, where students begin to grasp more complex linguistic and numerical structures.
  • KG – The Graduation Year (Age 5.5 – 6.5): This is the pinnacle of our preschool. Students emerge as ‘Graduates,’ fully equipped with the academic competencies and behavioral maturity required to excel in Primary School (Class 1).

Trilingual Mastery: The Gift of Languages

We empower our students with a trilingual foundation, using specialized methods to ensure fluency and love for learning:

  • Mother Tongue (Bengali) – The Prerona Method: Focusing on correct pronunciation, creative expression, and a deep appreciation for our roots.
  • International Language (English) – The Inspire Method: Built on Jolly Phonics, we develop strong reading, writing, and speaking skills to prepare them for a globalized future.
  • Language of Islam (Arabic) – The Ilham Method: An innovative approach where students learn Arabic not just as a subject, but as a gateway to understanding the Quran.

Quranic Journey: From Recognition to Recitation

Our Quranic curriculum is a step-by-step spiritual ascent designed to produce confident reciters with correct Tajweed:

  • Play Group: Focus on Arabic alphabet (Huroof) recognition and distinct sound identification.
  • Nursery: Mastery of letter shapes, Long and Short Vowels (Harkat), and Tanween.
  • KG Class: Advanced study of Sukun and Shaddah. By the end of this year, students complete nearly half of Juz’ ‘Amma (Ampara) with fluency and precision.

Holistic Islamic Studies: Shaping Heart & Mind

Integrated within our daily routine, the Islamic Studies syllabus at Al-Hamim is comprehensive and practical, as detailed in our term-wise lesson plans:

  • Aqidah & Faith: Students learn the fundamentals of Tawhid, the Pillars of Islam, and the Articles of Faith (Iman-e-Mufassal & Mujmal), nurturing a conscious love for Allah (SWT).
  • Daily Adab & Masnoon Duas: We memorize and practice essential supplications for daily life—eating, sleeping, traveling, and washroom etiquettes—making the Sunnah a living habit.
  • Seerah & Prophetic Stories: Young hearts are inspired by the childhood and character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the lives of other Prophets like Adam (AS), Nuh (AS), and Ibrahim (AS).
  • Practical Ibadah & Hifz: From learning the actions of Wudu and Salah to memorizing short Surahs from the Quran with correct Tajweed, we ensure spiritual practices are ingrained early.
  • The Al-Hamim Covenant: Our students are trained in ‘Signature Behaviours’—Sidq (Truthfulness)Obedience, and An-Nazafah (Purity)—ensuring their knowledge manifests in exemplary character.
